Group Chief Bookkeeper

Job Summary:
Working directly with the founder, the Group Bookkeeper will oversee all financial record-keeping and accounting activities for multiple companies within our group. This is a unique opportunity for someone ready to grow and make a significant impact. You will manage our existing bookkeeper and ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with all regulatory requirements. A strong grasp of Xero accounting software and solid accounting principles is essential.

Key Responsibilities:
You will handle all bookkeeping tasks, including data entry, ledger maintenance, and account reconciliations. Overseeing accounts payable and receivable processes, you will prepare financial statements and reports on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis. Utilizing Xero accounting software, you will manage all financial transactions and record-keeping, ensuring that all data is up-to-date and accurately reflected.
In collaboration with the founder, you will prepare budgets and financial forecasts, monitor cash flow, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements. The role involves coordinating with external auditors, preparing necessary documentation for audits, assisting in tax return preparation, and ensuring timely filings. Additionally, you will develop and implement accounting policies and procedures to enhance efficiency and identify opportunities for cost reduction.
