We're looking for a part-time Graphic and Web Designer to join our team and handle a variety of design projects across digital and print platforms.

Position Overview:

As a Graphic and Web Designer at Simplified Marketing, you will contribute to creating visually engaging designs for websites, social media, and marketing materials. Reporting directly to the Marketing Manager, your responsibilities will include designing social media graphics, designing website layouts, uploading content onto web pages for SEO, creating marketing collateral, and other creative assets. You'll work collaboratively with the team while taking ownership of your projects, making sure all deliverables are professional, polished, and meet client goals.

You must be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment, handling strict deadlines, and shifting priorities as needed. Strong organization and attention to detail are critical.

While this is a part-time position, there’s potential for it to grow into a full-time role.

Key Responsibilities: Prioritized Tasks
– Social Media & Digital Content: Create engaging graphics for social media platforms.
– Web Graphic Design: Use Figma/Photoshop to create website layouts based on wireframe instructions, which will be handed off to the web developer for implementation.
– Website Content Upload: Add new content and create web pages on mainly WordPress websites and 1 Wix website
– Landing Page Design: Build visually appealing and functional website landing pages using tools like Elementor (mainly), Divi, Wix website builder, or WP Bakery.
– Theme Versatility: Work with multiple WordPress themes and builders (Elementor, WPBakery, Divi, etc.)
– Graphic Support: Create custom graphics in Canva, Photoshop, and Adobe Illustrator for website and social use.
– Marketing Collateral: Design brochures (tri-folds, bi-folds, etc), high-end tradeshow booth graphics, business cards, and other marketing materials.

Additional Tasks
– Image Sourcing: Pull client and stock photos for use in website blogs, pages, and Google Business posts.
– Design Standards: Ensure all designs meet brand guidelines and are optimized for usability and visual appeal.
– Collaboration: Work closely with the team to meet deadlines, provide creative input, and adjust designs based on feedback.
– Project Management: Use tools such as Notion (similar to Asana or Trello) daily to organize tasks, communicate progress, and manage deadlines effectively.
– Miscellaneous Tasks: Assist with scheduling social media posts, organizing content folders, and supporting the marketing team with small admin tasks as needed.

Required Skills and Tools:
– Design Software: Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop or Adobe Illustrator, Canva, Figma, and Capcut (on occasion).
– Web Design Expertise: Strong familiarity with WordPress and some Wix. Expertise in designing with Elementor theme, as well as additional themes such as Divi and WP Bakery.
– AI Image Generation: Able to create new graphics and images based on AI prompts
– Project Management Tools: Experience with tools like Asana, ClickUp, or Trello; daily use of Notion is important for managing multiple projects.
– General Tools: Familiarity with Microsoft Excel and Word, or Google Workspace.
– Design Eye: Must have a strong eye for design, layout, and composition, with an attention to detail.
– Teamwork: Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.

Preferred Qualifications:
– 2-3 years in graphic and web design.
– Experience designing marketing materials (must have a portfolio of work to support experience).
– Familiarity with website design principles and blog layout design.
– Ability to work efficiently under tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
