JOB OVERVIEW
We are looking for a talented Graphic designer with a strategic vision to join our company. The goal is to reach out to specific market group and cultivate customers’ interest in our products and services in ways that strengthen our reputation and facilitate our continuous growth. You must have extensive knowledge in graphic design skill, strength in conceptual thinking and ideation, coupled with packaging design experience as an asset.
The ideal candidate can balance a practical mindset with a creative business acumen and lead people through complex marketing operations.
Responsibilities
• Assessing all project requirements, brand inquiries, and conceptual ideas to produce optimal designs, with a focus on packaging and branding design.
• Provide support for projects including creative, revisions to existing art files, color corrections, resizing projects based on existing creative or established guidelines.
• Creating mock-ups and prototypes of packaging designs to present to clients for feedback and approval.
• Conducting quality assurance checks: compare vendor/production proofs to the proofs customers approved for accuracy, ensure they meet print functions, branding guidelines, and functional requirements.
• Maintaining a comprehensive digital asset management system for design files, ensuring easy access and organization for future reference and reuse.
• Contributing to the development of branding strategies and visual identity guidelines to ensure consistency across all packaging designs and marketing materials.
• Develop innovative web and mobile interface on our website with the best possible user experience to meet company's objectives.
• Participate in briefs, meetings, and present concepts. Actively participate in brainstorming sessions and tea
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams such as marketing and sales to understand packaging requirements for product development;
• Support the management to foster overall professional development.
Requirements
• Minimum 3 years of cumulative experience as a designer, preferably in packaging and brand identity
• A strong understanding of creating designs for consumable products in various packaging formats including bags, labels, boxes, etc.
• Strong knowledge in creating & working with flexible packaging die lines.
• Proven experience in graphic design, digital marketing or similar role
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Offices, Google Workspace, Wix, ClickUp
• Expertise in Adobe Creative Suite: particularly InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator.
• Adheres to company SOPs and policies and utilizes company tools and resources to operate as required on a daily basis
• Has a professional maturity.
• Must have excellent English and strong communication skills.
• Creativity, strong commercial awareness and ability to spot trends
Working hours in PST Vancouver (Canada) Time between 8am-7pm Monday - Friday (8 hours a day) exclude weekends and BC Stat holidays.
