Role Overview:

As a Furniture/Product Designer, you will be responsible for creating exceptional furniture designs that are both beautiful and functional. You will work closely with our development and manufacturing teams to bring your designs from concept to life, ensuring that every piece meets the highest standards of quality, durability, and style. You will have the opportunity to shape the future of our furniture collection while working in a collaborative, creative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and Develop: Create innovative furniture designs for various residential and commercial spaces, incorporating both aesthetic appeal and functional considerations.
Material Selection: Select appropriate materials and finishes, ensuring that designs are sustainable, durable, and cost-effective.
3D Modeling & Prototyping: Use CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks) to create detailed designs and renderings, and work on prototypes to test and refine designs.
Collaboration: Work closely with manufacturing teams, suppliers, and clients to ensure the feasibility of designs and that the end products meet specifications and quality standards.
Market Trends: Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in furniture design, materials, and manufacturing techniques, bringing fresh ideas into your work.
User-Centered Design: Ensure designs are ergonomically sound and meet user comfort and accessibility needs.
Project Management: Manage multiple design projects simultaneously, from initial sketches through to production, ensuring timely delivery and adherence to budget constraints.
Client Communication: Present design concepts to clients, incorporating feedback to ensure satisfaction and successful project outcomes.
Qualifications:

Education: Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Design, Furniture Design, Product Design
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in furniture/product design, with a strong portfolio of completed projects.
Proficiency in Design Software: Expertise in 3D CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Rhino, SolidWorks), 3D rendering tools (e.g., KeyShot, V-Ray), and Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop).
Strong Portfolio: A portfolio that showcases your ability to create functional, aesthetically pleasing furniture designs.
Material & Manufacturing Knowledge: Familiarity with various furniture materials, finishes, and production techniques.
Ergonomics & User-Centered Design: Strong understanding of ergonomics and how furniture interacts with users in different environments.
Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail and precision in both design and production phases.
Collaboration Skills: Ability to work effectively with teams across various departments, including engineering, marketing, and production.
Project Management: Experience managing design timelines, budgets, and working with external manufacturers.
Sustainability Awareness: Knowledge of sustainable design practices and eco-friendly materials is a plus.
