Full-Time Video Editor (Davinci Resolve Specialist)

We are seeking a talented and dedicated Full-Time Video Editor with knowledge in Davinci Resolve Editing platform to join our growing team. You will be responsible for editing a variety of video content for our clients, ensuring each project meets our high standards for quality, storytelling, and brand consistency. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong creative skills, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively within deadlines.

Responsibilities:

-Video Editing: Professionally edit various types of video content, including:
-Social Media Reels: Editing B-Roll footage, talking head videos, or a combination thereof. Incorporating stock footage when necessary and using motion graphics and sound FX to make the reels visually engaging.
-Brand Videos (4-5 minutes long): Crafting compelling narratives by carefully listening to and understanding the filmed content, strategically using B-Roll footage to enhance the storytelling and brand message.
-Event Showreels: Creating dynamic and fast-paced highlight videos that capture the key Upgrade to see actual infonts, attendees, and speakers of events. Incorporating event audio and testimonials effectively.

Technical Proficiency:
-Proficiently using Davinci Resolve editing software.
-Managing and working with DRP files and proxy files received via Dropbox.

Motion Graphics:
-Creating engaging and brand-appropriate motion graphics to enhance video content. This includes text animations, lower thirds, and other visual elements that align with different brand styles.

Collaboration:
-Working closely with our team to understand project briefs, client objectives, and brand guidelines.

Attention to Detail:
-Ensuring all videos are polished, error-free, and meet the highest quality standards.

Time Management:
-Managing workload effectively and meeting project deadlines.

Optional (but advantageous):
-Colour correcting and grading video footage to enhance visual appeal and consistency.


Requirements:

-Some experience as a Video Editor, with a portfolio showcasing your editing skills, particularly in storytelling and creating engaging content for brands.
-Mandatory: Experience in Davinci Resolve editing software.
-Mandatory: Familiarity with receiving and managing DRP files and proxy files via Dropbox.
-Demonstrated ability to create motion graphics that align with various brand aesthetics. Please provide examples in your portfolio.
-Strong understanding of video editing principles, including pacing, rhythm, and visual storytelling.
-Excellent listening and comprehension skills, with the ability to understand the nuances of filmed content and translate them into compelling narratives.
-Ability to work independently, take initiative, and manage your time effectively in a remote work environment.
-Strong communication skills and the ability to provide updates on project progress.
-A reliable internet connection and a suitable home working environment.

Bonus Skills (Not Essential but a Plus):

-Experience with colour correction and grading in Davinci Resolve.
