We're Den Defenders, and one of our primary services is handling high-level chimney / fireplace restoration and repairs for residential customers. We created Bear Hands Pro, a software to streamline chimney inspections. Over the last 3 years, our software has risen to the top of the industry and we now provide it as a SAAS to other chimney restoration companies throughout the U.S.!

Position Overview:

In this role, you will work with our development team and contribute to the development, maintenance, and enhancement of Bear Hands Pro, focusing on scalable features, efficient code, and a seamless user experience.

In this role, your responsibilities will include:

-Designing, developing, and enhancing new features using the MERN stack (MongoDB,
Express, React, Node.js).

-Leading and contributing to mobile application development using React Native and Expo.
-Helping build and optimize the next version of our platform using Next.js and PostgreSQL.

-Debuging, refactoring, and ensuring code efficiency, quality, and maintainability.

-Conducting code reviews, testing, and QA processes to ensure quality and reliability.
-Integrating third-party APIs, services, and cloud platforms

*Please note, that in this role, you will need to be available during the hours of 8am to 4pm PST

To ensure your success, we are offering a salary of $1200 / month with an additional month's pay in December, and a review for a raise to $1400 / month after 6 months.

Required Qualifications:

-3+ years of experience working with React.

-3+ years of experience with Node.js for backend development, including building APIs and integrations.

-2+ years of experience with Next.js for server-side rendered applications.

-3+ years of experience with React Native for mobile app development.

-3+ years of experience with MongoDB for database management.

-2+ years of experience with PostgreSQL for relational databases.

-Proven ability to debug, optimize, and refactor code to ensure performance and scalability.

-Strong communication skills and a proactive, problem-solving mindset.

Preferred Qualifications:

-Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automated testing.

-Familiarity with cloud platforms like AWS for scalable deployment.

-UI/UX design experience or experience working closely with designers to enhance user experiences.
