About Us
Planted Sky. We’re a small, tight-knit team of web geeks who believe in working hard and playing harder. While we’re serious about delivering top-quality work for each other and our clients, we keep things positive and fun—because life’s too short for boring jobs and cranky co-workers.
About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and self-driven Web Developer with expertise in the Bricks framework, specifically using ACSS, and the Frames workflow to join us on a temporary contract basis. This role will focus on delivering high-quality work for a few urgent key projects, with the potential for a long-term collaboration.
You should be detail-oriented, have a good eye for design, and be comfortable developing websites from Figma mock-ups—either designing fully mocked-up pages or using one page as a design system to expand other pages.
Responsibilities:
Develop responsive websites using the Bricks framework, ACSS, and Frames workflow.
Translate Figma mock-ups into fully functional websites.
Expand design systems from partially mocked-up pages with a focus on aesthetics, onsite SEO, and usability.
Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plugin updates, troubleshooting, and performance optimization.
Ensure high attention to detail in design and functionality.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues with websites, plugins, or frameworks as they arise.
Keep documentation and project files organized, ensuring clear communication with the team.
Required Skills:
Proficiency in Bricks framework, ACSS, Frames workflow and BE
Ability to develop websites based on Figma mock-ups, or sometimes existing web pages that you will use as a general direction for styling.
A strong eye for design, layout, and aesthetics.
Self-motivated and detail-oriented approach to work.
Proficiency in written and spoken English.
Strong organizational skills and clear communication—if you’re sloppy, don’t even bother applying.
Bonus Skills:
Familiarity with the Advanced Themer(AT) Bricks extension
Experience with Airtable, Asana, Canvas, or Adobe tools.
Familiarity with Divi and willingness to maintain and modify Divi sites.
Knowledge of web accessibility standards (e.g., WCAG compliance).
Experience with PHP, JavaScript, or custom plugin development.
Familiarity with website testing tools like Lighthouse or BrowserStack.
Comfort designing in tools like Figma, Canva, or Adobe Creative Suite.
Experience with Google Analytics, Tag Manager, and advanced configurations.
Knowledge of mailing list tools (e.g., Mailchimp) and automation tools (e.g., Zapier).
