Role Overview
We are looking for a Front-End Developer (Shopify Expert) to develop and optimize custom Shopify themes, ensuring high performance and an exceptional user experience. This role requires hands-on expertise in Liquid, JavaScript, CSS animations, performance optimization, and advanced UI interactions.
This is a full-time and remote position where you will work closely with designers, marketers, and developers to create pixel-perfect, conversion-driven Shopify storefronts.

Key Responsibilities
? Expanded technical requirements – Added CSS animations, GSAP, ScrollMagic, and other advanced UI libraries.
? Case study requirement in the portfolio – Candidates must provide a detailed breakdown of at least one past project with before-and-after results.
? More specific success benchmarks (Upgrade to see actual infodays) – Clear deliverables for UX/UI improvements, A/B testing, and conversion rate impact.
? Core Web Vitals performance metrics – Candidates must meet Google’s Web Performance standards.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Google Core Web Vitals – Maintain a 90+ PageSpeed score and ensure Shopify sites pass LCP, CLS, and FID benchmarks.
Conversion Rate Growth – Improve store conversion rates by X% within Y months.
Bug Resolution Time – Resolve UI/UX issues within X hours/days.
Pixel-Perfect Implementation – Ensure 99?herence to design mockups.
A/B Testing Success – Successfully implement and track X A/B tests per quarter.

First 30 Days
? Complete onboarding and review Pearl West’s Shopify storefronts and brand guidelines.
? Audit existing front-end implementations and propose performance and UI/UX enhancements.
? Develop and deploy a small-scale, custom UI feature to assess skill level.

First 60 Days
? Implement performance optimizations to improve site speed and mobile experience.
? Develop a fully custom landing page or product page redesign using best front-end practices.
? Collaborate with the design team to ensure brand consistency and high-quality UX.

First 90 Days
? Successfully launch an A/B-tested front-end improvement that boosts conversions or engagement by X%.
? Establish a front-end component library for scalable design and development.
? Conduct a post-launch UI/UX performance review and optimize based on analytics.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have Skills:
Advanced Shopify Front-End Development – Deep expertise in Liquid, HTML, CSS, JavaScript.
Animation & Interactive UI – Experience with CSS animations, GSAP, ScrollMagic, or other animation libraries.
Performance Optimization – Knowledge of Google Core Web Vitals, Shopify site speed best practices, and SEO performance techniques.
Conversion Rate Optimization (CRO) – A/B testing, heatmaps, and user behavior tracking to improve UX/UI.
JavaScript Frameworks (Preferred) – Experience with React, Vue.js, or Alpine.js for interactive Shopify components.
Mobile & Cross-Browser Compatibility – Ability to ensure perfect rendering on all devices and browsers.

Nice-to-Have Skills:
Familiarity with Shopify Plus and headless Shopify development.
Experience with CI/CD workflows, Git version control, and deployment pipelines.
Understanding of WCAG accessibility standards and ADA compliance for web design.
