Job Title: Financial Controller

We are seeking a Financial Controller to join our team and serve as the financial eyes for the executive team. This role is critical to driving financial transparency, compliance, and strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Oversight:
Manage financial operations across multiple subsidiaries in construction, real estate, and consulting.
Ensure accurate and timely reporting of financial statements.
Reconcile books at month end, provide recommendations.
GAAP Compliance:
Ensure all financial transactions are recorded according to Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Regularly audit financial processes to maintain compliance.
Perform financial clean up for clients
Budgeting & Forecasting:
Create, implement, and maintain budgets, tracking actual performance against forecasts.
Provide insightful variance analyses to inform decision-making.
Audit & Compliance:
Conduct periodic audits to ensure financial integrity and adherence to regulatory requirements.
Collaborate with external auditors and regulatory bodies as needed.
Tax Planning & Strategy:
Assist with tax planning initiatives to optimize company tax positions.
Ensure timely and accurate filing of tax returns in coordination with tax professionals.
Strategic Financial Support:
Act as a financial advisor to the executive team, providing actionable insights and data-driven recommendations.
Identify opportunities for cost savings and operational efficiencies.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (CPA preferred).
Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting, with a focus on multi-entity financial operations.
Strong understanding of GAAP principles and financial compliance standards.
Proven experience in budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Advanced proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Excel.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to convey complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders.
