Job Description
We are seeking a skilled Financial Analyst with extensive experience in bookkeeping, reconciliation in Xero, financial tracking and projection, and tracking churn and membership numbers. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and a deep understanding of financial principles. This role involves working closely with founders and executives to provide financial insights and support strategic decision-making.
Responsibilities
Perform bookkeeping and financial reconciliation using Xero to ensure accurate financial records
Develop and maintain financial models to predict future business conditions and support financial projections
Track and analyze key financial metrics including churn and membership numbers to identify trends and provide actionable insights
Prepare comprehensive financial reports including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and financial plans, monitoring budgets, and providing insights on variances
Conduct investment analysis by evaluating financial statements and market data, providing recommendations
Identify financial risks and develop strategies to mitigate them through sensitivity analysis and scenario planning
Conduct market research to understand economic conditions and industry trends
Collaborate with various departments to support financial decision-making and strategic planning
Communicate findings to management through detailed reports and presentations
Qualifications
Proven experience in bookkeeping and reconciliation, particularly with Xero
Strong proficiency in financial modeling, forecasting, and analysis
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail and accuracy in financial reporting
Proficient in financial software and tools including Excel and ERP systems
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
Ability to think strategically and provide actionable financial insights
Effective time management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines
High level of integrity and ethical standards with a commitment to maintaining confidentiality and transparency
Relevant certifications such as CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) or CPA (Certified Public Accountant) are not required but are a plus!

Salary
Weekly Salary is 150 AUD, paid fortnightly.
