Xero Accountant & Australian Payroll Specialist

Job Description:
We are looking for an experienced Virtual Accountant to join our team. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, handling payroll, reconciling accounts, and analyzing finances. A good understanding of Australian accounting rules is important. You will help us manage our financial systems and provide clear, accurate reports to guide our business decisions.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Xero Management
• Match transactions and keep accounts accurate.
• Find ways to simplify and organize accounts to make reviewing expenses easier.
• Create and review profit and loss reports to find ways to save money.
2. Australian Payroll
• Handle payroll, including superannuation and employee deductions.
• Make sure payroll follows Australian laws for employees, sole traders, and Pty Ltd companies.
• Use tools like Paytron or similar to manage payroll efficiently.
3. Financial Reporting and Budgeting
• Create budgets and financial projections using expense data.
• Monitor and report team-specific expenses to find ways to cut costs.
4. Commission Management
• Create a system to track sales and payments for each sales rep, including customers on payment plans.
• Calculate commissions based on actual payments received and ensure they are assigned to the correct sales rep.
• Keep clear, accurate records and use tools to automate and prevent errors.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: At least 3 years working in accounting, payroll, and managing finances.
• Software Skills: Strong experience with Xero and knowledge of tools like Paytron or similar.
• Australian Accounting Knowledge: A good understanding of Australian superannuation, payroll rules, and compliance.
• Attention to Detail: Ability to spot and fix errors in financial systems.
• Problem-Solving: Proactively improve processes and make systems more efficient.

Work Hours:

• Time Zone: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM Sydney Time (Monday to Friday)
• You must be available and responsive during these hours.

Compensation:

• Base Salary: Php 65,000 - Php 100,000 per month (depending on experience).
