As we head into further exciting global growth, we are looking for a Finance Officer to join our dynamic team in a full-time role that requires working Brisbane, Australia hours from 9 AM to 5 PM.

In your role as a Finance Assistant, you’ll play a vital part in supporting the Finance Manager and the team with a variety of essential financial tasks and responsibilities. You will conduct daily bank reconciliations, manage accounts payable and receivable, and ensure the smooth processing of payroll for AU employees. Additionally, you will maintain the general ledger, prepare financial reports, and actively manage the Accounts inbox, all while collaborating on ad hoc projects to support the overall efficiency of the finance team.

The Role
• Reporting to the Finance Manager and collaborating within a close-knit team.
• Conduct daily bank reconciliations, including monthly credit card reconciliation.
• Code and process invoices, manage vendor relationships, and resolve discrepancies. Maintain accounts receivable to ensure healthy cash flow and timely payments from customers. Prepare and perform weekly payment runs while adhering to payment terms.
• Prepare and perform fortnightly payroll runs for Corporate and Retail Store employees. Address payroll changes, create paychecks, monitor deductions, and maintain records for leave. Prepare and post monthly payroll journals.
• Daily close of Cin7 into Xero, month-end revenue reconciliations including channel allocations, and bank reconciliation reports.
• Maintain and reconcile the general ledger, ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions and prompt resolution of discrepancies.
• Actively manage the Accounts inbox.
• Support the Finance team with ad hoc tasks and projects as required.

About you

• You have strong attention to detail and organisational skills with a systematic approach.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, effectively sharing information and building positive relationships.
• Ability to work independently and as part of the team.

Education & Experience Requirements

• Retail background with a qualification in accounting or similar field is strongly preferred.
• Experience using Xero (essential).
• Experience using Cin7, Shopify and any other relevant e-commerce platforms
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
