Job Title: Financial Assistant

We specialise in maximising revenue, streamlining operations, and delivering outstanding guest experiences. As our portfolio grows, we are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Financial Assistant to support our finance team.
Job Overview:
The Financial Assistant will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining the financial health of Red Kite Hosts. A significant focus of this role will be on reconciliation and bookkeeping to ensure accurate record-keeping across our accountancy software, Xero. You will assist with financial record-keeping, budgeting, reporting, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. The ideal candidate is incredibly organised, analytical, and has a passion for numbers and accuracy.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Record Management
- Maintain accurate records of income, expenses, and transactions within Xero
- Perform regular reconciliations of bank statements, financial accounts, and Xero records
- Upload business receipts to Xero and Apron to ensure hard copies of all transactions for VAT reclamation
Bookkeeping:
- Ensure all financial transactions are accurately recorded in Xero
- Organise and manage receipts, invoices, and other financial documentation
Budgeting and Forecasting:
- Assist in creating and monitoring budgets
- Provide financial data to support forecasting and financial planning
Accounts Payable
- Pay contractors, suppliers and 3rd party stakeholders
Support Operations:
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial processes
- Provide ad-hoc financial support and analysis as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Proven experience in a financial or accounting role, preferably in the property management or hospitality industry
- Proficiency in Xero accounting software and Microsoft Excel
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Airbnb or short-term rental platforms
- Knowledge of property management operations and financial requirements

Back-ups in case of power or internet provider interruptions
Hours:
Core hours would be:
7am - 3pm UK Time
3pm - 11pm Local Time (Philippines)
