JOB OVERVIEW

Position Overview:

The Finance Assistant will play a key role in supporting the Finance Department, with a primary focus on HR and payroll functions. This position is responsible for accurately managing payroll, handling team members benefits and insurance, and overseeing essential HR administrative tasks. The Finance Assistant will also assist with other finance-related responsibilities, ensuring that all available time is used effectively to support the department’s overall goals.

This role requires a keen eye for detail, exceptional organizational skills, and a strong commitment to confidentiality and accuracy in handling sensitive information. The Finance Assistant will be expected to provide excellent support to team members, maintain precise records, and contribute to the smooth functioning of the Finance Department.


Pay Range: $6 per hour with a performance review scheduled after 90 days of employment. We believe in rewarding exceptional talents.

Objectives:

Handle payroll processing to ensure timely and accurate compensation for team members.
Manage and administer team members benefits and insurance, handling any related inquiries or issues.
Maintain organized and confidential HR records and assist with HR-related tasks such as onboarding and compliance.
Support the Finance Department on additional tasks, such as expense tracking, invoice management, and report preparation.
Collaborate effectively with other Finance team members to ensure efficient and streamlined department operations.


Competencies:

Strong organizational and time-management skills to balance HR, payroll, and additional finance responsibilities.
Attention to detail and accuracy in handling payroll, benefits, and HR records.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with team members, address team members inquiries, and clearly convey information on payroll, benefits, and other HR-related matters.
Discretion and professionalism in handling sensitive team member information.
Proficiency in payroll and HR software, with the ability to quickly learn finance tools and systems as needed.


Education and Experience:

Minimum of two years of experience in HR, payroll, or a related administrative role.


Physical Requirements:

Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
