Experienced SEO Shopify Product Upload VA Required

Type of Position: Project-based, with the potential to become full-time in May for Krato Power

Working Time Zone: I am based in the U.S. Central time zone (Chicago) and will require applicants to attend a weekly meeting on Tuesdays at 7:00 PM CST. However, you may work in your local time zone.

Daily Reporting and Accountability: At the end of each day, you are expected to:
Provide a short Slack update listing what you finished that day.
What you will work on next.
If any deadlines are at risk of being missed.
Any help or questions that need to be answered.

Proposed Compensation: Starting at $2/product uploaded, with the opportunity to increase based on successful work.

Daily Work Description:
Upload product data from supplier websites & spreadsheets to our Shopify. Update spreadsheets upon product upload completion.
Do Keyword Research on each SKU.
Editing and Uploading product images (Convert to .jpg, resize, compress, rename using keywords, upload, add alt tags with keywords).
Add relevant videos about each product.
Write engaging product descriptions using keywords, basic copywriting, and information from the supplier's website.
Secondary roles will also involve auditing existing products and confirming they meet the required specifications.

Weekly/Bi-Weekly Work Description:
Prepare an update for and attend a bi-weekly meeting with the manager.
Ensure product upload spreadsheets are accurate, organized, and easy to read.
Double-check that products uploaded throughout the week meet requirements.

Potentially Harder Tasks and Skills:
As a small business, everyone must wear multiple hats at some point. However, we like to minimize this as much as possible.
Creating product listing images from scratch. This would consist of using Canva, grabbing images from across the internet, and making a brand-new image, such as creating images for a Solar Panel Kit that has never been made before.
Keyword Research for product pages.

You will have experience doing all the above tasks, paying attention to detail, and a strong understanding of SEO.

A checklist and examples will be provided as guidelines. A training video may be provided.

Each product may take 1 hour but at most 2. At least 10 products must be completed per week. Over time, this position may progress toward a full-time position.

You are allowed to use AI or software at your discretion. However, if the products do not follow the required guidelines, expect to go back and correct them. We will not cut corners. We typically use the free version of iloveimg.com for editing our images
