Seeking five passionate and skilled automotive news writers to join our remote editorial team. Each writer will be assigned to cover one of the following magazine pairs:

Job Overview:
As an Automotive News Writer, you will be responsible for producing accurate, engaging, and timely news articles for your assigned publications. You will collaborate with the editorial team and report directly to your magazine editor, creating original content rooted in sound journalism practices.

Key Responsibilities:
Write four news articles per day (300-500 words each) on assigned topics.
Research and pitch fresh, relevant news items aligned with your magazine's focus.
Work closely with the editorial team to ensure content quality, timeliness, and journalistic integrity.
Monitor industry trends and events to stay ahead of breaking news.
Uphold high editorial standards, including proper sourcing, fact-checking, and avoiding reliance on AI-generated content.
Proofread and edit your work to ensure clarity, grammar, and style consistency using tools like Grammarly.
Upload articles and accompanying images to WordPress with attention to SEO and keyword optimization.
Create compelling, impactful headlines.

Qualifications:
Proven experience in news writing, preferably in the automotive or related fields.
Passion for and/or knowledge of the performance automotive industry is preferred.
Strong research, writing, and editing skills with attention to detail and accuracy.
Familiarity with SEO principles and WordPress is a plus.
Ability to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high content quality.
Ability to work independently and communicate effectively with a remote team.
A degree in journalism, communications, or a related field is a plus but not required.
Fluent written and verbal communication skills in English.
