Position Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Estimator with in-depth knowledge of the UK property maintenance industry, particularly within the London market. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating costs for painting, bathroom renovations, and various refurbishment projects.

In addition to estimating larger refurbishment projects, you must also be able to handle client calls for smaller handyman jobs, such as hourly or daily rate property maintenance tasks. This includes answering enquiries, providing basic cost estimates over the phone, and ensuring clients receive clear and professional communication regarding their service needs.

This role goes beyond simply inputting figures into software—it requires a hands-on approach to accurately assess labour requirements, compile detailed materials lists, and select the most suitable materials for each project. The role also involves daily administrative tasks, such as managing jobs, answering calls, and sending emails.

-Key Responsibilities
Conduct detailed cost analyses for painting, bathroom renovations, and refurbishment projects, covering all aspects from labour to materials.
Utilise in-depth knowledge of the London market to ensure accurate cost estimates, balancing competitive pricing with quality.

Work closely with project managers to gather all necessary details for accurate estimations and to prepare well-structured client quotes.
In some cases, review architectural plans and specifications to determine project scope and cost requirements.
Provide itemised breakdowns of costs and labour days for project proposals and bids.
Stay up to date with the latest construction techniques, materials, and trends to improve efficiency and cost-effectiveness.
Handle client calls confidently and professionally, providing clear and accurate information.

-Qualifications & Key Requirements
Proven experience as an Estimator in the construction/property maintenance sector, with a focus on painting, bathroom renovations, and refurbishments.
Extensive knowledge of the UK (particularly London) market, regulations, materials, and brands.
Proficiency in estimating software, as well as the ability to conduct manual estimations when necessary.
Strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Must be able to handle client calls and speak fluent UK English.
Design experience would be a bonus.
Ability to produce 4-5 project estimates per week within tight deadlines.
A proactive and problem-solving mindset.
