About the Role:
We are a growing animation company seeking a talented 2D Environment/Background Designer to help bring our stories to life. As part of a dynamic and collaborative team, you’ll design imaginative, detailed settings that enhance the storytelling experience. Compensation will increase as key metrics—such as timeliness, art delivery, and collaboration—are successfully met.

Key Responsibilities:
• Design and create vibrant, detailed 2D environments and backgrounds that align with the story’s tone and style.
• Collaborate closely with the art director and animation team to ensure consistency and alignment with the overall vision.
• Utilize color, perspective, and lighting to enhance mood and atmosphere in your designs.
• Meet deadlines for art delivery while maintaining quality.
• Revise work based on feedback and adapt to evolving project needs.

Qualifications:
• Proven experience in 2D environment or background design for animation.
• Strong skills in composition, perspective, and storytelling through design.
• Proficiency in industry-standard tools (e.g., Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or equivalents).
• Must be fluent in English for clear communication with the team.
• Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to different art styles and feedback.
• A portfolio showcasing 2D environments and backgrounds.
