Angels Homecare is a leading non-medical homecare agency dedicated to providing compassionate care to clients in need. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Editor to oversee and refine the content we produce. The ideal candidate will possess exceptional editing skills, a keen eye for detail, and a strong understanding of grammar, tone, and style. As an Editor, you will be responsible for ensuring that all content is clear, engaging, and aligned with our brand's voice and editorial guidelines.

POSITION OVERVIEW:
The Editor will play a critical role in ensuring the quality, consistency, and clarity of all written content produced by Angels Home Care's Publishing team. This position requires a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of language, and a strong ability to maintain brand voice and editorial standards. The Editor will collaborate with writers, content creators, and the editorial team to review, edit, and enhance all forms of written communication, including blog posts, articles, social media copy, marketing materials, and more.

The Editor will be responsible for ensuring that all content aligns with company objectives, adheres to editorial guidelines, and is optimized for both readability and SEO. This role offers the opportunity to work across diverse projects, contributing to the development of high-quality content that engages and informs our audience.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Content Editing: Review, edit, and proofread articles, blog posts, social media content, marketing materials, and other written content for clarity, grammar, style, and accuracy.
Content Structuring: Ensure that content is well-structured, cohesive, and follows a logical flow. Work with writers to improve the organization and readability of their work.
Quality Control: Ensure that all content meets high-quality standards, including proper formatting, grammar, and punctuation, and adheres to brand guidelines.
Collaborate with Writers: Work closely with writers, providing constructive feedback and suggestions to improve content quality. Offer guidance on improving tone, voice, and style.
SEO Optimization: Ensure content is optimized for search engines by incorporating keywords, meta descriptions, and proper tags.
Fact-Checking: Verify facts, data, and references to ensure accuracy and integrity of content.
Style Guide Maintenance: Maintain and update the editorial style guide to ensure consistency across all written content.
Meet Deadlines: Work efficiently to meet tight deadlines while maintaining high-quality output.
Project Management: Coordinate and manage multiple editorial projects, ensuring timely delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Bachelor's degree in English, Journalism, Communications, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
Experience: Minimum of 2 years of experience in editing or a similar role, with a strong portfolio of work (writing, editing, or publications).
Strong Editing Skills: Proficiency in editing for grammar, style, tone, and consistency.
Attention to Detail: Exceptional ability to catch grammatical errors, awkward phrasing, and inconsistencies.
Communication Skills: Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to provide constructive feedback to writers.
Time Management: Proven ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Editorial Tools: Experience with editing software (e.g., Microsoft Word, Google Docs, Grammarly, etc.), and familiarity with content management systems (CMS) like WordPress or similar.
SEO Knowledge: Basic understanding of SEO principles and how to optimize content for search engines.
Adaptability: Ability to adapt editorial content for various platforms, including blogs, websites, social media, and print.

PREFERRED:
Experience with Multimedia Content: Familiarity with editing multimedia content such as video scripts, podcasts, or social media videos.
Familiarity with Project Management Tools: Experience with tools like Upgrade to see actual info to manage editorial workflows.
Advanced SEO Knowledge: Experience in advanced SEO strategies, including keyword research and SEO tools e.g Google Analytics
Knowledge of AP or Chicago Style: Familiarity with editorial style guides like AP or Chicago Manual of Style.
Creative Writing Skills: Strong writing skills with the ability to assist in content creation when necessary.
