Position Overview
As an EDI Purchase Order Processor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy of the order workflow process before transmitting orders to our warehouse for fulfillment. You will manage the electronic exchange of business documents between our company and trading partners, analyzing, designing, implementing, and maintaining electronic data interchange solutions for seamless communication and data integration.
Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
*Entering customer orders into company software and/or EDI systems.
*Reviewing and troubleshooting EDI transactions, applying resolutions to data errors.
*Monitoring EDI systems and resolving failures to maintain seamless operations.
*Gathering and documenting EDI requirements and specifications for new implementations.
*Updating and maintaining comprehensive documentation for EDI platforms and processes.
*Interacting with customers regarding their orders via phone and
*Responding to incoming customer inquiries promptly.
*Following up on customer shipments and tracking orders.
*Obtaining truck quotes online or through brokers for LTL shipments.
*Preparing shipments for customer orders or warehouse transfers via UPS, FedEx, USPS (including labeling, creating packing slips, and bills of lading).
*Performing other duties as assigned to support EDI operations.
Qualifications:
*Preferably 2 years of professional experience in a similar role.
*Knowledge of mapping EDI documents based on customer specifications.
*Solid background in information systems technology.
*Working knowledge of data communication protocols and security measures.
*Detailed understanding of EDI document formats.
*Commitment to maintaining system data integrity and availability.
*Experience with QuickBooks, preferably Enterprise/Desktop
*Experience working with and processing orders for U.S. major retailers such as Walmart, Target, Home Depot, etc.
