Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Sales Manager with a strong understanding of gross margin, profit analysis, and revenue growth strategies. This role is critical in driving sales performance, optimising profitability, and contributing to the overall success of our ecommerce business. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in sales management, a strong analytical mindset, and the ability to motivate a team to achieve ambitious targets.

Key Responsibilities

Sales Strategy & Execution

Develop and implement sales strategies to drive revenue growth and improve gross margins.
Identify and pursue new market opportunities and partnerships.
Set and monitor sales goals, ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Profitability & Margin Analysis

Analyse sales data, gross margins, and profitability metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Collaborate with the finance team to set pricing strategies and manage discounts or promotions effectively.
Ensure sales efforts are focused on high-margin products to maximise profitability.
Team Leadership

Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing sales team.
Conduct regular performance reviews and provide feedback to drive individual and team success.
Foster a results-oriented and collaborative team culture.
Customer Relationship Management

Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and partners.
Handle escalated customer inquiries to ensure satisfaction and retention.
Reporting & Insights

Monitor and report on sales performance, key metrics, and trends.
Provide actionable insights and recommendations to senior management.
Collaborate with marketing and operations to align strategies and improve workflows.
Requirements

Proven experience as a Sales Manager or in a similar role, ideally within the ecommerce or retail industry.
Strong understanding of gross margin, pricing, and profitability analysis.
Excellent leadership and team management skills.
Analytical mindset with proficiency in using data to make informed decisions.
Familiarity with Shopify and ecommerce platforms is a strong advantage.
Experience with ERP systems (e.g., CIN7, Unleashed) and CRM tools.
Strong communication and negotiation skills.
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.
