Job Summary:
We are seeking a Shopify E-Commerce Design Specialist with expertise in modern muscle and classic car performance parts to join our team. This role is responsible for designing, developing, and optimizing our Shopify-powered e-commerce store to provide a seamless shopping experience for automotive enthusiasts, builders, and restoration professionals. The ideal candidate has a strong background in Shopify development, UX/UI design, and conversion rate optimization (CRO), combined with a passion for high-performance parts, muscle cars, and classic car restoration.
Key Responsibilities:
Shopify Design & Customization
• Design, develop, and customize Shopify themes to reflect the brand’s aesthetic and appeal to muscle car enthusiasts.
• Implement vehicle year/make/model (YMM) search filters for easy product discovery.
• Customize Shopify Liquid templates, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript to enhance store functionality.
• Ensure site speed optimization, mobile responsiveness, and a frictionless checkout experience.
User Experience & Conversion Optimization
• Design high-converting product pages featuring technical specifications, fitment details, and performance benefits.
• Optimize product organization for aftermarket performance parts, restoration components, and custom builds.
• Implement A/B testing, heatmaps, and analytics tools to improve conversions and user engagement.
• Streamline the checkout process with Shop Pay, PayPal, Affirm, and Klarna for flexible payments.
SEO & Marketing Integration
• Optimize Shopify store for SEO, including structured data, meta tags, and keyword-optimized product descriptions.
• Work with marketing teams to integrate Google Shopping, Facebook Pixel, Instagram Shops, and YouTube product tagging.
• Implement Shopify apps for upselling, bundling, reviews, and loyalty programs targeting the performance car community.
Branding & Content Management
• Ensure a bold, high-energy brand aesthetic that appeals to modern muscle and classic car enthusiasts.
• Create and update banners, promotional graphics, and seasonal campaign assets for featured product lines.
• Collaborate with content creators to integrate video tutorials, dyno test results, and product install guides into the website.
Technical Troubleshooting & Support
• Identify and resolve website issues, working with Shopify support or developers when necessary.
• Ensure website security and compliance with ADA/WCAG accessibility standards.
• Maintain and optimize third-party integrations, such as inventory management systems, dropshipping suppliers, and ERP connections.
Required Qualifications:
• 2+ years of experience in Shopify design and development, preferably in automotive e-commerce.
• Strong proficiency in Shopify Liquid, HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Experience designing for performance parts, aftermarket upgrades, and restoration components.
• Understanding of vehicle fitment data, product filtering, and category management for automotive e-commerce.
• Knowledge of Shopify apps and third-party integrations (e.g., YMM search, reviews, chatbots, and loyalty programs).
• Familiarity with conversion rate optimization (CRO), A/B testing, and UX best practices.
• Experience with graphic design tools (Photoshop, Illustrator, Figma) for creating marketing assets.
• Passion for the automotive industry, particularly modern muscle cars (Mustang, Camaro, Challenger) and classic restorations (Chevelle, GTO, Charger, C10, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Shopify Plus and headless commerce solutions.
• Knowledge of Google Ads, Facebook/Instagram Ads, and automotive influencer marketing.
• Familiarity with automotive performance tuning, ECU tuning, and forced induction products.
• Experience working with wholesale accounts, B2B e-commerce, and dealer pricing structures.
