Job Title: Drywall Estimator (Part-Time)
Job Type: Part-Time (Approximately 15 hours per week, with potential for increased hours
based on performance and workload)
Job Summary: We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Drywall Estimator to join our
team. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of drywall types, specifications,
and installation requirements. This role requires an individual who can efficiently perform
accurate takeoffs, ensuring all project specifications are met. The position starts at 15 hours
per week, with the potential to increase as the estimator becomes more comfortable and as
the workload expands.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed drywall takeoffs for various projects, ensuring accuracy and
completeness.
• Interpret blueprints, architectural drawings, and project specifications to determine
material requirements.
• Identify and specify different drywall types required for specific areas (e.g.,
greenboard for bathrooms, cement board for basements, standard drywall for interior
walls, etc.).
• Provide clear and organized documentation of material estimates and cost projections.
• Collaborate with project managers and other team members to ensure takeoffs align
with project needs.
• Identify potential discrepancies or issues in project plans and communicate them
effectively.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of drywall materials, industry trends, and best
practices.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience as a Drywall Estimator, Construction Estimator, or similar role.
• Strong knowledge of drywall materials, specifications, and industry standards.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
• Proficiency in estimating software and tools used for takeoffs.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines efficiently.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with drywall takeoffs for residential and commercial projects.
• Familiarity with estimating software such as Planswift, On-Screen Takeoff, or similar
programs.
• Background in construction, contracting, or related fields.
