Position Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Directory and Social Bookmarking Specialist to join our digital marketing team. The primary responsibility will be to manage and optimize the submission of websites to relevant directories and social bookmarking sites. This position will play a crucial role in enhancing the online visibility and search engine ranking of our clients’ websites through strategic directory submissions, social bookmarking, and backlinking.

Key Responsibilities:

Directory Submission: Research and identify reputable web directories to submit client websites for enhanced visibility and SEO benefits.
Social Bookmarking: Engage with popular social bookmarking platforms (e.g., Reddit, Pinterest, Digg, StumbleUpon) by bookmarking valuable content and creating backlinks.
Content Optimization: Craft compelling and concise descriptions, tags, and keywords to improve the website’s discoverability and ensure that adheres to each directory/bookmarking site's guidelines.
SEO Strategy: Collaborate with SEO teams to align directory and bookmarking activities with ongoing SEO strategies, ensuring link-building efforts support broader digital marketing goals.
Tracking & Reporting: Monitor submission results, track performance metrics, and provide regular reports on rankings, backlink acquisition, and referral traffic from directories and bookmarking sites.
Quality Control: Ensure all submissions comply with directory/bookmarking site guidelines to avoid penalties or de-indexing.
Competitor Analysis: Stay updated on industry trends and review competitors' backlink strategies, directory submissions, and social bookmarking activities to ensure our approach is competitive.
Customer Engagement: Respond to client inquiries about directory submission status, provide insights, and offer advice on improving their online presence through these methods.
Required Skills and Qualifications:

Proven experience in directory submission and social bookmarking.
Understanding of SEO best practices, including the importance of backlinks and on-page optimization.
Experience with popular social bookmarking platforms like Reddit, Pinterest, Digg, and others.
Strong written communication skills for crafting compelling descriptions and tags.
Knowledge of Google Analytics or other tracking tools to measure the effectiveness of submission efforts.
Ability to research and identify high-quality directories and bookmarking sites for submission.
Familiarity with SEO tools like Ahrefs, Moz, SEMrush, or similar platforms is a plus.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
Ability to manage multiple projects while adhering to deadlines.
Preferred Qualifications:

Familiarity with local SEO and submitting to local directories.
Understanding of no-follow vs. do-follow links and their impact on SEO.
Basic knowledge of HTML and website structure for improved submission accuracy.
