ASP.NET Developer needed to help support the re-launch of a UK based subscription website.

We are a business news and insolvency data specialist, providing an online subscription service for businesses and professional individuals in the UK who are interested in acquiring distressed companies and monitoring market activity.

We are looking for an ASP.NET version 4.7 experienced developer to help us update the legacy ASP.NET v4.7 code on our website and help us begin to implement a series of new design and brand-led frontend changes that will help improve the user experience on the site.

We also have a number of new features we would like to start to add to the site over the next few months once the core of the frontend design changes have been made.

We have a frontend team who will support with the development of the new pages according to the design framework however it’ll be your responsibility to take those designs and connect things up on the website.

Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend developers, designers, digital marketing managers, and backend developers to implement our Upgrade to see actual infovelop, test, and maintain web applications using ASP.NET technologies, ensuring high performance and responsiveness.
Modify and enhance the platform's backend functionality to support new features and Upgrade to see actual infobug and resolve technical issues to ensure seamless user experience across various devices and browsers.
Optimise application performance by identifying and addressing bottlenecks, and fine-tuning code for optimal speed and scalability.
Ensure code quality and adherence to best practices by conducting regular code reviews and implementing necessary improvements.
Participate technical design and development team discussions to provide valuable insights and contribute to project planning.
Provide key insights into any upcoming industry trends and advancements in ASP.NET development, incorporating relevant technologies and practices into the project.

Required experience:

At least 5 years experience with ASP.NET
and or related technologies.

A strong development and software engineering background.

Experience with ASP.NET v 4.7

Experience making frontend site changes, running local host tests and publishing code on ASP.NET

Additional experience with backend database management would be extremely beneficial.

Some understanding of technical SEO

Any experience with Stripe payment system would be a bonus as we intend to implement new payment options in the coming months including ApplePay / GooglePay and Klarna.

Working with our team

Our developers will work on building the new front-end design for the website and provide you with the code and support you will need to setup the new website.
