Job Summary:
The Design Quality Controller is responsible for ensuring that all design outputs meet the highest standards of quality, consistency, and accuracy. This role involves reviewing print media for compliance with brand guidelines, technical specifications, and industry standards. The ideal candidate has a keen eye for detail, a deep understanding of design principles, and the ability to work collaboratively with design teams to achieve the best results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Review and evaluate design materials, including layouts, typography, color schemes, and images, to ensure they meet quality standards.
- Ensure all design outputs align with the company's brand guidelines and visual identity.
- Check for consistency across all design projects, including the use of fonts, colors, and other design elements.
- Verify that all designs are technically accurate and ready for production, whether for digital or print use.
- Collaborate with designers to identify and resolve any issues related to design quality.
- Provide constructive feedback to the design team to improve the quality of future projects.
- Conduct final checks on design projects before they are sent to clients or published.
- Maintain detailed records of quality checks and feedback provided.
- Stay updated on the latest design trends, tools, and techniques to ensure the company’s designs remain current and competitive.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in design quality control, graphic design, or a related role would be a huge advantage.
- Strong understanding of design principles, including typography, color theory, and layout.
- Proficiency in design software such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).
- Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to spot even the smallest of errors.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear and constructive feedback.
- Ability to work under tight deadlines and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with print production processes and digital media standards is a plus.
