Dental Insurance Specialist

The Dental Insurance Verifier is responsible for verifying patients' insurance coverage and benefits before their scheduled appointments. This role ensures accurate and timely verification, helping the dental team provide seamless patient care and avoid billing discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:
Insurance Verification: Confirm patient eligibility, coverage details, deductibles, co-pays, annual maximums, and limitations.
Breakdown of Benefits: Obtain detailed insurance breakdowns, including frequencies, waiting periods, and exclusions.
Documentation: Accurately record all verified insurance details in the practice management software.

Compliance: Ensure HIPAA and other confidentiality regulations are followed.

Qualifications & Skills:

Prior experience in dental insurance verification or front desk administration preferred.
Strong knowledge of dental insurance policies, PPO, HMO, and Medicaid plans.
Proficiency in dental software (e.g., Dentrix, Eaglesoft, Open Dental).
Excellent phone and communication skills.
Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
