We even extend our specialty services to plant equipment such as silos and any other plant needs to increase efficiencies and conveniences.
Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Controller to join our team. The Controller will report directly to the CFO and will be responsible for overseeing all financial operations of the company. This role will be based in the Philippines as a Virtual Location (VL) and will involve managing and growing the finance team both in the US and the Philippines.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee all financial operations, including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
Develop and implement financial policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and company standards.
Manage the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
Coordinate and lead the annual audit process, liaise with external auditors, and ensure timely completion of audits.
Monitor and analyze financial performance, providing insights and recommendations to the CFO and executive team.
Manage cash flow, including forecasting and monitoring of cash balances.
Oversee payroll processing and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Lead and mentor the finance team, providing guidance and support to ensure their professional growth and development.
Collaborate with other departments to support business objectives and drive financial performance.
Ensure effective internal controls are in place and maintained.
Manage relationships with banks, auditors, and other financial partners.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; CPA or CMA certification preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in the construction services industry.
Key Skills:

Strong leadership and team management abilities.
Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Experience working with remote teams is a plus.
Ability to develop and implement financial policies and procedures.
Skilled in managing cash flow and forecasting.
Proficient in coordinating and leading audit processes.
Capable of providing insights and recommendations based on financial performance analysis

Day 1-30: Onboarding and Initial Assessment
Orientation: Familiarize with company policies, procedures, and culture.
Training: Complete mandatory training sessions on financial systems, compliance, and internal controls.
Meetings: Schedule introductory meetings with key stakeholders including department heads and tea
Assessment: Review current financial processes, systems, and reports to identify areas for improvement.
Documentation: Begin documenting existing workflows and procedures.
Day 31-60: Process Improvement and Integration
Analysis: Conduct a thorough analysis of financial data to identify trends, discrepancies, and opportunities for cost savings.
Collaboration: Work closely with the finance team to integrate best practices and streamline processes.
Reporting: Develop and implement new financial reporting templates to enhance transparency and accuracy.
Feedback: Gather feedback from tea
Day 61-90: Implementation and Review
Implementation: Roll out new financial processes and reporting systems.
Training: Provide training to the finance team on new procedures and systems.
Review: Conduct a comprehensive review of the first 90 days to assess progress and identify areas for further improvement.
Performance Review: Participate in a 90-day performance review with management to discuss achievements, challenges, and future goals.
