The Role:
We're seeking a passionate Content Writer & Editor to lead our daily newsletter, creating content that spans the full spectrum of yoga – from asana tutorials and Sanskrit terminology to yogic philosophy and modern wellness integration.
Key Responsibilities:
* Create engaging daily newsletter content that brings yoga concepts to life for practitioners of all levels
* Develop editorial calendars that thoughtfully blend different aspects of yoga (asana, pranayama, meditation, philosophy)
* Write clear, inspiring content about yoga techniques, philosophy, and lifestyle
* Research and verify yogic teachings, ensuring accurate representation of traditional knowledge
* Interview yoga teachers, practitioners, and wellness experts
* Create content around seasonal practices, yoga events, and important dates in the yogic calendar
* Manage sequence descriptions and alignment cues with precise, accessible language
* Collaborate with yoga teachers to ensure technical accuracy in asana descriptions
* Balance traditional yogic wisdom with contemporary wellness perspectives
* Track newsletter metrics and reader engagement to refine content strategy
Required Qualifications:
* 2+ years of experience in wellness, fitness, or yoga-focused content writing and editing
* 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training certification (Not required but would be ideal)
* Strong understanding of yoga philosophy, history, and traditional practices
* Excellent writing and editing skills with attention to technical accuracy
* Experience with Sanskrit terminology and proper transliteration
* Proven ability to explain complex movement patterns and philosophical concepts clearly
* Understanding of anatomy and safe practice principles
* Experience with
* Bachelor's degree in English, Communications, or related field
Ideal Candidate:
* Additional yoga certifications or specialized training
* Experience teaching yoga classes or workshops
* Knowledge of Ayurvedic principles
* Understanding of inclusive language in movement instruction
* Personal yoga practice of 2+ years
* Familiarity with major yoga lineages and styles
* Experience creating content for both beginners and advanced practitioners
