Job Overview: We are looking for a talented and creative Content Writer with experience in visual content creation to craft compelling scripts that tell a story and effectively sell health and beauty products. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of how to engage an audience through storytelling, while seamlessly integrating product features and benefits. You should be able to write persuasive scripts for video, social media, and other visual content formats that drive customer engagement and conversions.
Key Responsibilities:
Script Writing for Visual Content:
Develop creative, engaging, and sales-focused scripts for health and beauty product videos, explainer videos, social media ads, and other visual content.
Write narratives that tell a compelling story, focusing on how the product enhances the user’s life and solves their pain points.
Collaborate with designers, videographers, and marketing teams to ensure the written content aligns with the visual direction and messaging.
Ensure that the script highlights product benefits, features, and unique selling propositions (USPs) in a natural, engaging, and persuasive way.
Storytelling to Sell Products:
Create stories that resonate with the target audience, emphasizing the emotional connection with the product.
Craft scripts that guide the viewer through a journey — from awareness to consideration and conversion — in an easy-to-follow, engaging, and relatable way.
Tailor the tone, voice, and messaging for different types of visual content, ensuring it aligns with the overall brand identity and marketing objectives.
Collaboration with Creative Teams:
Work closely with graphic designers, video editors, and the marketing team to ensure that the written content and visuals are integrated harmoniously.
Provide input and suggestions for visuals, shots, and animations that complement the script and enhance the overall message.
Help shape storyboards and ensure that the script aligns with the visual flow of the content.
Product Knowledge & Market Research:
Stay up to date with the latest trends in the health and beauty industry, including consumer behavior, product innovations, and competitor strategies.
Conduct research on target audience demographics, pain points, and preferences to craft content that speaks directly to their needs and desires.
Use product knowledge to write persuasive copy that clearly communicates the benefits of health and beauty products, from skincare to cosmetics to wellness products.
Editing and Proofreading:
Edit and proofread scripts to ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency.
Maintain a consistent brand voice throughout all content, ensuring all scripts reflect the brand’s identity and tone.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a content writer, scriptwriter, or copywriter, with a portfolio showcasing writing for health and beauty products.
Experience in writing scripts for visual content, including video ads, explainer videos, and social media posts.
A strong understanding of storytelling techniques, including the ability to craft a narrative that appeals to emotions and drives action.
Excellent command of the English language, with superior writing, editing, and proofreading skills.
Ability to work collaboratively with creative teams to bring a vision to life in a way that drives results.
Knowledge of SEO principles and how to optimize video content for engagement and searchability.
Strong understanding of the health and beauty industry, including the latest product trends, consumer behavior, and marketing strategies.
Excellent time management skills and the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience writing for video platforms like YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, and other digital media.
Familiarity with basic video production or design tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere, Canva, etc.) is a plus.
A degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field is preferred but not required.
Basic understanding of analytics tools (e.g., Google Analytics, social media insights) to measure content performance.
