As we continue to grow, we are looking for a detail-oriented Construction Project Manager to oversee material procurement, client invoicing, subcontractor management, and accounts receivable. This role is essential in ensuring smooth operations, financial accuracy, and timely project execution.
Job Summary:
The Construction Project Manager – Materials, Invoicing & Subcontractor Management is responsible for ordering materials, managing supplier and subcontractor relationships, issuing and tracking client invoices, and overseeing accounts receivable. This role requires strong organizational skills, financial acumen, and the ability to multitask in a fast-paced construction environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Material Procurement & Inventory Management:
• Source, order, and track materials to ensure timely delivery for multiple construction projects.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and negotiate pricing for cost efficiency.
• Coordinate with project teams to forecast material needs and prevent delays.
• Manage inventory records and report stock levels.
Client Invoicing & Accounts Receivable Management:
• Generate and issue accurate client invoices based on project progress and contract terms.
• Track all accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances.
• Work closely with the accounting team to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.
• Communicate with clients regarding invoicing questions, payment terms, and financial updates.
Subcontractor Coordination & Oversight:
• Schedule and manage subcontractors to align with project timelines and scopes of work.
• Ensure subcontractors adhere to contract terms, safety regulations, and quality standards.
• Review and approve subcontractor invoices, verifying completed work against agreements.
• Resolve any subcontractor disputes or scheduling conflicts.
Project Coordination & Communication:
• Collaborate with project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors to align materials and labor with construction schedules.
• Assist in budget tracking and cost analysis to ensure projects stay within financial targets.
• Provide regular updates to internal teams and clients on material deliveries, financial status, and subcontractor performance.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Proven experience in construction project management, procurement, or related roles.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, vendors, and procurement processes.
• Experience managing subcontractors and overseeing contractual agreements.
• Proficiency in invoicing software and financial record-keeping.
• Strong understanding of accounts receivable and payment tracking.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
