In this role, you will be responsible for conducting market research on construction materials, parts, and supplies. You will maintain contacts with vendors, call potential clients and suppliers, and create presentations. The ideal candidate must have excellent communication skills and strong attention to detail. You will work up to 40-50 hours per week, depending on client needs.
Job Responsibilities:
- Conduct detailed cost estimation for construction projects, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Perform quantitative surveying to assess project requirements and resources.
- Manage and maintain back-office operations, including documentation and administrative tasks.
- Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets for cost tracking and project management.
- Develop and update Gantt charts to monitor project timelines and deliverables.
- Prepare bid packages and ensure all necessary documentation is included for submission.
- Collaborate with project teams to gather relevant data and insights for accurate estimations.
- Assist in the analysis of project costs and provide recommendations for cost-saving measures.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in cost estimating and quantitative surveying, preferably in the construction industry for US or international clients.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Gantt chart software.
- Strong analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently in a remote environment and manage multiple tasks effectively.
