Position Overview
A Cold Caller is responsible for initiating contact with potential customers who may not have previously expressed interest in solar energy solutions. This role requires persistence, strong communication skills, and the ability to handle objections effectively. The primary goal is to generate high-quality leads, educate homeowners on the benefits of solar, build trust, and schedule appointments for consultations. The ideal candidate will work closely with the sales team to maintain a steady pipeline of prospects and ensure all interactions are accurately recorded in the CRM.
Key Responsibilities
-Generate and clean lead data for potential solar customers
-Conduct outbound cold calls to homeowners and businesses
-Identify customer pain points, educate them on the benefits of solar, and qualify their interest
-Uncover key customer details, including timeline, motivation, and budget
-Schedule follow-ups and set appointments for solar consultations
-Maintain detailed and accurate records of interactions in the CRM
-Submit lead qualification and performance reports
-Consistently meet or exceed lead generation targets (minimum of two qualified leads per day and one appointment per day)
Qualifications and Skills
-Minimum 1 year of sales experience (experience in solar or renewable energy is a plus)
-C2 Proficiency in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills
-Strong interpersonal and relationship-building abilities
-Experience using Google Workspace, CRM software, and sales tools is a plus
-Ability to work in Australian Eastern Standard Time (AEST) with screen/time monitoring software
-Resilient, goal-oriented, and able to handle objections professionally
Requirements
-Stable internet connection and a noise-canceling headset for seamless calling
-Proven track record in sales or cold calling, with the ability to meet or exceed targets
-Familiarity with the Australian solar market or willingness to learn quickly
-Ability to multitask, stay organized, and update CRM records in real time
-A proactive and self-motivated attitude, capable of working independently with minimal supervision
