Chief Financial Officer (CFO)

We are a fast-growing e-commerce company on track to reach 8-figure revenue this year. Despite our profitability, we’ve noticed that our balance sheet isn’t reflecting consistent growth month-to-month. We are seeking an experienced and knowledgeable Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our team and help provide clarity, insight, and direction for our financial operations.

Role Summary:
As our CFO, you will play a pivotal role in analyzing our financial performance, identifying inefficiencies, and ensuring sustainable financial growth. Your responsibilities will include thoroughly investigating where funds are being allocated, clarifying why the balance isn’t growing as expected despite profits, and implementing robust financial strategies to optimize future growth.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Analysis & Reporting:

Conduct a deep dive into 2024 financial data to determine how profits, revenue, and costs were distributed.

Clarify discrepancies between profits and the lack of growth in the balance sheet.

Identify potential "leaks" or inefficiencies where money is being spent unnecessarily or ineffectively.

Financial Planning & Strategy:

Develop and implement comprehensive financial management strategies for 2025, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Create clear and actionable financial dashboards for daily, weekly, monthly, and yearly tracking.

Propose strategic initiatives to improve cash flow and ensure the balance grows in line with profits.

Leadership & Oversight:

Lead and oversee the finance team, ensuring all financial operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Communicate insights and findings to the leadership team, enabling informed decision-making.

Cost Efficiency:

Identify unusual or unnecessary costs and develop strategies to eliminate them.

Provide actionable insights to improve overall financial efficiency and profitability.

Accurate Recordkeeping:

Ensure accurate and up-to-date management of all financial records and compliance with legal requirements.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience in a financial leadership role, preferably in e-commerce or a fast-paced environment.

Proven track record in financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.

Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for identifying inefficiencies.

Strong leadership skills and the ability to motivate and manage a finance team.

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain complex financial data in a clear and concise manner.

Advanced proficiency in financial management software and tools.
