About the Job:
We are seeking highly skilled and senior professional for our Collections Team.
The ideal candidate will have previous leadership experience in a debt collections facility, must be direct, clear and straightforward in their approach to recovering OUTSTANDING PAYMENTS. Supported by the Accounts Receivables Officer and the Collections Officer, the Collections Team Manager will play a critical role in managing and overseeing delinquent accounts, the dunning process, implementing strategic collection plans, and driving continuous improvement in our collection efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collections:
- Proactively recover outstanding payments from clients who have fallen behind on their obligations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with clients to negotiate payment terms and resolve outstanding issues.
2. Dunning Process Management:
- Oversee and execute the streamlined collection process to ensure efficiency and effectiveness.
- Maintain accurate records of all communications and actions taken during the collection process.
3. Strategic Planning:
- Implement tailored solutions for collections based on segmentation provided by the Accounts Receivables Officer.
- Develop and manage repayment plans, hardship options, and refinancing strategies to assist clients in meeting their financial obligations.
4. Continuous Improvement:
- Regularly review and enhance collection strategies to improve recovery rates and reduce delinquency.
- Analyse collection performance data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience in a similar role, with a strong track record of successful collections in financing, lending, banking companies.
- Excellent communication skills, verbal and written, with the ability to be direct and clear.
- Strong strategy, negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
- Knowledge of dunning processes and collection best practices.
- Ability to develop and implement effective collection strategies.
- Detail- oriented with excellent organizational and record-keeping skills.
