JOB OVERVIEW

AEC Equipment & Auctions is seeking a motivated and results-driven Business Development Representative to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for cold calling businesses, engaging with fleet owners and operators, and promoting our online weekly auction services for used equipment. Your goal will be to build relationships with potential sellers and help them realize the value of auctioning their used equipment through our platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Cold Calling: Proactively reach out to businesses and fleet owners to introduce AEC Equipment & Auctions and our services.
Lead Generation: Identify and qualify potential sellers of used equipment.
Relationship Building: Establish and maintain strong relationships with business owners and decision-makers.
Sales Presentations: Clearly communicate the benefits and features of our online auction platform.
Follow-Up: Manage follow-up communications and schedule further discussions or meetings as needed.
Market Research: Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and potential opportunities for business growth.
Documentation: Maintain accurate records of calls, leads, and sales activities in our CRM system.
Collaboration: Work closely with the marketing and operations teams to ensure a seamless auction process for clients.
Qualifications:

Proven experience in sales, cold calling, or business development, preferably in the equipment or auction industry.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to build rapport quickly and maintain long-term relationships.
Strong negotiation and persuasion abilities.
Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset.
Proficiency in using CRM software and other sales tools.
Knowledge of the equipment and auction industry is a plus
