Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to lead our data team, transforming raw data into meaningful insights that support strategic decision-making and drive business growth. This individual will work closely with the CEO, COO, and other top-level executives to provide actionable recommendations based on complex data analysis. The ideal candidate possesses advanced skills in profit and loss (P&L) management, predictive analytics, and data visualization, with a strong foundation in statistical analysis.
Key Responsibilities
* Executive Data Insights & Reporting
-- Act as the primary data advisor for the CEO, COO, and executives, delivering strategic insights and recommendations from data analysis.
-- Present detailed weekly and monthly reports that align with company objectives and support executive decision-making.
* Predictive Analysis & Strategic Insights
-- Apply advanced analytics and predictive modeling to forecast trends, measure outcomes, and anticipate future business needs.
-- Identify key performance indicators (KPIs) and trends that contribute to profit growth, cost savings, and operational improvements.
* Data-Driven Recommendations
-- Translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations to improve processes, drive growth, and support strategic initiatives.
* Reporting & Visualization
-- Create visualizations that make complex data accessible to non-technical stakeholders, enabling informed decision-making.
-- Develop and maintain dynamic dashboards and BI tools (e.g., Power BI) to provide real-time visibility into performance metrics.
* Ad-Hoc Analysis
- Respond to specific data requests with timely, accurate analyses tailored to organizational needs and various stakeholder requirements.
* Team Leadership & Data Operations
-- Lead and manage the data team to ensure timely and accurate delivery of reports and analyses.
-- Drive automation of manual data processes to enhance team efficiency and deliver consistent insights.
- Conduct training sessions to keep the team updated on data analysis best practices and technologies.
* Cross-Departmental Collaboration
-- Partner with various departments to integrate data insights into departmental strategies, supporting their decision-making processes.
* Strategic Data Projects
-- Lead advanced projects, such as predictive modeling and AI-driven analysis, to uncover business opportunities.
-- Oversee the migration of reports to BI tools like Power BI, enabling real-time data visibility for the executive team.
* Data Quality & Audits
-- Conduct monthly audits to ensure the integrity, accuracy, and quality of data.
-- Implement and enforce quality control measures across data processes, upholding the highest standards of accuracy.
Qualifications
* Education: Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Finance, Data Management, Economics, or a related field; Master’s preferred.
* Experience: 5-7 years in data management, business analysis, or financial analysis, with demonstrated team leadership.
* Expertise in P&L Management: Proven ability to analyze trends and drive revenue growth through data insights.
* Technical Skills: Proficiency in statistical analysis and data modeling using tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, and Tableau.
* Communication: Ability to present complex data in a concise and actionable manner for senior leadership.
* Leadership: Track record of leading high-performing teams and promoting data-driven decision-making.
* Adaptability: Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Non-Negotiables:
* Team Management Experience: Candidates must have experience managing data or analytics teams.
* Data-Driven Recommendations: The role requires not only manipulating data but making clear recommendations for business decisions.
* Predictive Analysis: Ability to apply predictive modeling and analytics to forecast business trends and measure outcomes.
* Communication Style: Clear and concise communication is essential, but the candidate should not be overly cheerful; a professional demeanor is required.
* Statistical Expertise: A background in statistics is highly preferred for advanced data analysis and predictive insights.
