JOB OVERVIEW

As a Legal Assistant with bookkeeping and administrative skills, you will be responsible for supporting our legal team by managing case documentation, performing administrative tasks, and handling financial records for the firm. You will work closely with attorneys and other teaUpgrade to see actual infombers to ensure efficient office operations and help manage client accounts.

Key Responsibilities:

• MUST HAVE EXCELLENT ENGLISH LANGUAGE SKILLS.
• Assist attorneys with preparing, organizing, and filing legal documents, including pleadings, motions, and contracts.
• Manage and maintain client files, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
• Schedule and coordinate meetings, depositions, hearings, and appointments for attorneys.
• Provide support during trials, including preparing exhibits and taking notes.
• Handle daily bookkeeping functions, such as invoicing clients, processing payments, and managing accounts receivable.
• Maintain and track client billing records, ensuring accurate financial documentation.
• Perform administrative duties, including answering phones, managing emails, and handling general office correspondence.
• Prepare financial reports and assist with budget tracking for office and legal expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all legal regulations and firm policies regarding finances and documentation.
• Maintain office supplies and handle purchasing as needed.
• Coordinate travel arrangements for attorneys when necessary.
• Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Legal Assistant, Paralegal, or similar role in a legal environment.
• Strong background in bookkeeping, accounting, or finance, with knowledge of accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Excel).
• Exceptional organizational and time-management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy, particularly with financial records.
• Familiarity with legal terminology and procedures.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal management software.
• High school diploma or equivalent; Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Paralegal Studies, Accounting, or a related field is preferred.
• Knowledge of legal billing practices and time-tracking systems is a plus.
