JOB OVERVIEW

Nautical Staffing is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper/Billing Specialist for our US-based client in the healthcare industry.

The Bookkeeper/Billing Specialist will play a key role in managing our company’s financial records and billing processes. This higher-level position involves assisting in the migration of the accounting system from QuickBooks Online tSage Intacct. The ideal candidate will be tech-savvy and proficient in various accounting technologies, have experience supporting accounting aspects, have strong attention to detail, and be able to work effectively with various departments and stakeholders.

Responsibilities:
- General Bookkeeping: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including journal entries, ledgers, and reconciliations.
- Cash Posting: Accurately post and reconcile cash receipts, ensuring all transactions are properly documented.
- Billing Management: Oversee the billing process, ensuring that all invoices are accurately prepared and sent in a timely manner.
- Corporate Processing: Manage corporate processing tasks, including accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies.
- Account Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank and credit card statements, identifying and resolving discrepancies promptly.
- Support for Accounting Functions: Assist with various accounting tasks, such as general ledger entries, financial reporting, and budget preparation.
- System Migration: Assist in the migration of financial data from QuickBooks Online Sage Intacct, ensuring data integrity and a smooth transition.
- Software Management: Optimize the use of Sage Intacct, ensuring it meets the needs of the organization and provides accurate financial data.
- Collaboration: Work closely with other departments to support cross-functional initiatives and ensure seamless financial operations.
- Stakeholder Communication: Provide clear and timely financial information to decision-makers, assisting them in making informed business decisions.
- Compliance: Ensure all billing and bookkeeping activities comply with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as company policies.

Qualifications:
- Solid track record in bookkeeping and billing for a US company is strictly required
- Exposure the US healthcare industry is a big advantage
- Must be proficient in accounting software, such as QuickBooks and Sage Intacct
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and communication skills
- Must have an entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to contribute to business decisions
- Must be willing work full-time during US Pacific/Eastern business hours
