JOB OVERVIEW

About Us:
Arctic Shine Services is a leading window cleaning company in Canada, known for top-tier service, meticulous attention to detail, and a commitment to customer satisfaction. We are now looking for a skilled and detail-oriented bookkeeper to join our team remotely.

This role requires experience with QuickBooks Online and integration with Jobber, as well as a solid understanding of Canadian accounting and tax regulations. The ideal candidate will also be responsible for payroll processing, financial reporting, and tax preparation to ensure our business runs smoothly.

Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Financial Management

Maintain accurate financial records using QuickBooks Online and Jobber
Categorize and reconcile transactions, expenses, and invoices
Track accounts receivable and accounts payable
Payroll Processing

Calculate and process payroll for employees and contractors
Ensure compliance with Canadian payroll laws (CPP, EI, taxes, and other deductions)
Prepare and distribute payroll reports
Tax & Compliance

Ensure compliance with Canadian tax regulations (GST/HST remittances, T4 filings, etc.)
Assist in quarterly and annual tax preparation
Maintain accurate records for audits and tax filings
Financial Reporting & Budgeting

Prepare monthly financial reports (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow statements)
Provide insights into business expenses and cost-saving opportunities
Assist with budget preparation and financial forecasting
Administrative Support

Work closely with the owner and operations team to ensure smooth financial operations
Respond to financial inquiries and provide strategic advice when needed
Qualifications:
At least 2+ years of bookkeeping experience, ideally for a Canadian company
Strong experience with QuickBooks Online and Jobber (or willingness to learn)
Familiarity with Canadian payroll processing and compliance
Understanding of Canadian tax laws (GST/HST, T4s, CRA compliance)
Highly organized with strong analytical skills and attention to detail
Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
Ability to work independently and meet deadlines
