Nautical Staffing is looking for a Bookkeeper who has experience handling multiple entities simultaneously. This is for a US-based client in the investment industry.
Our client is a private investment firm managing multiple operating companies across various industries. They are seeking an experienced bookkeeper to handle financial records across multiple entities, including their portfolio companies and the firm itself.
The Bookkeeper will oversee financial records for multiple entities, ensuring accurate bookkeeping, compliance with financial regulations, and efficient reporting. This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage the books for businesses with varying operational structures, including those with complex inventory, vendor, and job-costing requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Maintain and reconcile general ledgers for multiple entities.
• Process accounts payable and receivable across all entities, ensuring timely payments and invoicing.
• Manage financial transactions related to inventory, material purchases, and vendor payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and credit card transactions for each business.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for multiple entities.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis across the portfolio.
• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and coordinate with external tax professionals.
• Support payroll processing and employee expense tracking.
• Support payroll processing, including tracking hourly labor costs and job-specific payroll allocations.
• Implement and improve bookkeeping processes for efficiency and accuracy.
• Collaborate with leadership to provide financial insights that support business decisions.
Qualifications
• Proven experience as a bookkeeper, handling multiple entities simultaneously, is strictly required
• Proficiency in QuickBooks is strictly required
• Knowledge of US GAAP Accounting practices is strictly required
• Experience in private equity or managing books for diverse industries is a plus
• Experience in industries with inventory management, manufacturing, or job-costing processes is a plus
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities
• Strong communication skills and ability to work independently
• Willing to work full-time during US Eastern business hours or as directed by the client
