Position Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper & Assistant to join our team. This role combines bookkeeping responsibilities with administrative support, ensuring the efficient operation of daily business functions. You will assist in managing financial records, handling essential administrative tasks, and coordinating with project teams to streamline operations. Your work will support the company’s financial health and enhance productivity.
Key Responsibilities
-Financial Management: Maintain accurate financial records, process invoices, manage accounts payable/receivable, and handle payroll as required.
- Reporting: Prepare monthly financial statements, project-specific financial summaries, and assist with quarterly financial reviews.
- Administrative Support: Handle scheduling, organize digital files, respond to internal and external communications, and provide general administrative support to the team.
- Project Coordination: Assist in tracking project budgets, invoicing clients, and coordinating with contractors and suppliers to ensure smooth financial operations.
- Compliance: Ensure that financial records are compliant with relevant regulations and assist in the preparation of tax documentation.
- Expense Tracking: Oversee the tracking and reporting of expenses for various projects, including reconciliation and documentation.
Required Qualifications
-Experience: Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related financial role, ideally within the construction or related industry.
-Technical Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (QuickBooks, Xero, or similar) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Attention to Detail: Excellent numerical accuracy and a strong ability to maintain organized, thorough financial records.
- Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills in English.
-Time Management: Ability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Confidentiality: Commitment to handling sensitive financial information with the highest ethical standards.
