As a bookkeeper, you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring the
financial stability and smooth operation of the organizations. Working closely with the accounting and
sales tax team, your attention to detail and proficiency in accounting practices will contribute to the
integrity of the company’s financial information.
Roles and Duties:
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records by recording all transactions, including purchases,
sales, receipts, and payments.
• Reconcile bank statements and financial accounts to ensure consistency and accuracy between records
and statements.
• Process and enter invoices, receipts, and other financial documents into accounting software with
meticulous attention to detail.
• Prepare and issue invoices to clients, tracking payments and following up on overdue accounts.
• Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable functions, including vendor payments
and customer collections.
• Monitor and categorize expenses, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines and proper allocation of
cost.
• Generate financial reports, such as profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow
statements, on a regular basis.
• Assist in preparing tax-related documentation, such as income tax returns, sales tax reports, and other
regulatory filings.
• Maintain an organized system for filing and storing financial documents, both in physical and digital
formats.
• Collaborate with auditors or financial professionals during periodic audits and reviews, providing
necessary documentation and explanations.
• Stay updated on relevant accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices to ensure
compliance and accuracy.
• Help in implementing and maintaining internal controls to safeguard financial data and prevent fraud.
• Provide support to the management team by analyzing financial data and assisting in budgeting and
forecasting activities.
• Respond to financial inquiries from internal teams, clients, vendors, and other stakeholders in timely
and professional manner.
• Foster a culture of accuracy, accountability, and professionalism within the finance and accounting
department.
• Contribute to process improvements and the adoption of new technologies to enhance efficiency and
effectiveness in bookkeeping task.
