Our client is a well-established physical therapy billing company based in Kansas, providing essential billing and financial services to physical therapy practices across the country. Virtual Rockstar is looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Virtual Bookkeeper to join their growing team and contribute to maintaining smooth financial operations in a fully remote role.
As a full-time Bookkeeper, you will be responsible for managing a variety of bookkeeping tasks, ensuring accurate financial records, and supporting key administrative functions. You will work closely with the team to help streamline financial processes, including accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, expense tracking, and financial report preparation. Responsibilities:
Bookkeeping & Record Management: Accurately record and maintain financial transactions.
Receipt Tracking: Track and organize receipts and financial documents for proper accounting.
Excel-related Tasks: Manage and organize financial data using Microsoft Excel; generate and analyze reports.
Accounts Payable/Receivable: Process invoices, manage outstanding accounts, and track payments.
Payroll Assistance: Assist with payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payroll calculations.
Timekeeping Verification: Collect and verify employee timekeeping information for payroll and expense tracking.
Financial Report Preparation: Prepare detailed financial reports and statements for management review.
Bank Reconciliation: Reconcile bank statements and other financial records to ensure accuracy.
Expense Reports: Process and verify employee expense reports, ensuring proper documentation.
Budget Preparation & Expense Management: Assist with budget planning and monitor company expenses.
Online Purchases & Reminders: Set reminders and manage online purchases for office supplies and other operational needs.
Time Management & Document Handling Support: Support team with document management and efficient timekeeping practices.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, or a similar financial support role.
Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel, with the ability to generate and manipulate financial data.
Strong understanding of accounting principles, accounts payable/receivable, and payroll processing.
Attention to detail and accuracy in managing financial records and reports.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Experience in the healthcare or physical therapy billing industry is a plus, but not required.
