JOB OVERVIEW

About the Role:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Bookkeeper to manage our day-to-day financial transactions and ensure the accuracy of our financial records. The ideal candidate will be responsible for recording and reconciling financial data, preparing reports, and supporting the overall financial health of the organization. Key Responsibilities:
Financial Transactions
Record day-to-day financial transactions, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments.
Verify, allocate, and post financial data into accounting software.
Reconcile bank accounts, credit card statements, and other accounts monthly to ensure accuracy.
Accounts Payable and Receivable
Process invoices and ensure timely payment of bills.
Generate and send out customer invoices, and follow up on overdue payments.
Monitor accounts to ensure timely collection of receivables.
Reporting and Documentation
Maintain accurate records of financial transactions and organize financial documentation.
Prepare financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, as needed.
Assist with financial audits by providing required documentation and reports.
Payroll Support
Assist with processing payroll and ensuring compliance with payroll laws.
Record and reconcile payroll entries, including tax withholdings and benefits deductions.
Compliance
Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal financial regulations.
Track and report tax-related information, such as sales tax or VAT filings.

Qualifications:
Minimum 1-2 years experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
Proficiency with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, or similar).
Strong understanding of basic accounting principles.
High proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other financial tools.
Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding financial matters.
