The way we buy companies is through bidding on deals that commercial clients publish online. This position will require you to:
(1) identifying business opportunities, tracking opportunities, request information about the opportunity and
(2) review the bid opportunity's summary to make sure it fits our criteria of having the right revenue and profit margin;
(3) organize the files in Dropbox
(4) create a bid action plan
(5) organize and schedule calendar deadlines
(6) perform administrative duties.
Further details include:
- Prepare, process, manage and submit all procurement documents for existing government grants/contracts, and those pending renewal or amendment, including subcontracts
- Assist in the development and submission of reports and documents for bid responses/ proposals
- ensure timely submission of documents and reports
- Draft and prepare letter correspondence
- Attend and scribe meeting notes as needed
- set report reminders; send regular reminders to program, fiscal, and evaluation staff and follow up as needed to meet deadlines
- Ability to understand basic financials, business strategy and opportunities
Qualifications
• BA degree preferred
• Minimum of two years experience and familiarity with bid mining, financial review and analysis, pipeline management, and bid actions
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite required
• Have been using Adobe PDF or similar software for over 1 year
• Have been using Dropbox for over 1 year
• Must be self-motivated, detail and deadline oriented with superb follow-up and prioritization skills
• Must demonstrate the ability to perform in a busy work environment during high-volume periods
• Must demonstrate professional writing skills and reading skills in English
• Attention to detail but efficient and organized and works great under pressure and timelines.
• Proven ability to communicate with staff at all levels
• Must be able to work independently and in a team
