The Auditor/Bookkeeper ensures the law firm’s financial accuracy, compliance, and operational efficiency by reviewing records, assessing risks, and ensuring adherence to internal policies and legal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
Financial Auditing:
Analyze financial records for accuracy and compliance.
Verify client billing, expenses, and trust account management.
Compliance & Risk Management:
Ensure adherence to legal, regulatory, and ethical standards.
Identify and mitigate financial and operational risks.
Operational Auditing:
Review internal controls and processes for efficiency.
Evaluate case management systems and transactions.
Reporting:
Prepare audit reports with findings and recommendations.
Present results to management and propose improvements.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
Experience in auditing, preferably in a law firm or professional services.
Knowledge of legal billing, trust accounts, and compliance standards.
Skills:
Strong analytical and organizational skills.
Attention to detail and ethical integrity.
Proficiency in audit software and accounting tools.
