Assistant for Outdoor Magazine Startup

Company Overview: We are an exciting new online and print magazine dedicated to highlighting minorities in the outdoor community. Our mission is to showcase diverse voices and perspectives, and we need a dedicated, passionate, and proactive individual to join our team.

Role Overview: As the Assistant to the Founder, you will be my right-hand person, working closely with me to help launch and grow the magazine. This is a hands-on role where you will assist in various areas, including social media management, research, organization, responding to emails, website management, and digital product creation. You will also have the opportunity to learn new tools and technologies along the way!

Responsibilities:

Social Media Management: Plan, create, and schedule posts across platforms
Research: Help source content ideas and research relevant topics for the magazine
Organization: Assist in managing tasks and projects on Upgrade to see actual info

Email Communication: Respond to emails and maintain communication with collaborators
Magazine Website: Assist with updating and maintaining the magazine's website
Digital Products: Help create digital products for our readers
Collaborate: Participate in video meetings (2 hours a day) to work on projects together
Skills & Tools:

Strong organizational skills
Excellent written communication
Familiarity with Upgrade to see actual info or clickup , Canva, Microsoft Office, Unsplash, Flipbook, AI, Teams, or similar tools (a plus, but I am happy to train)
Ability to work independently and manage tasks efficiently
Interest in the outdoor industry, especially in amplifying minority voices
Proactive attitude and willingness to take on a variety of tasks
Hours:

4 hours a day, Monday to Friday
20 hours a week
2 hours per day will be spent on video calls to collaborate on projects
Working hours: 6 PM - 10 PM (Colorado time), which will be 8 AM - 12 PM (Philippine time)
