Architectural Drafter (ArchiCAD)

We are currently seeking an experienced ArchiCAD Specialist to join our team and work closely with one of our valued clients in the Australian building industry. This role offers the chance to contribute to large-scale building projects and make a lasting impact through precise and innovative architectural design.

As an ArchiCAD Specialist, you will be embedded within the client’s team, providing expert architectural design support. You will be responsible for creating detailed drawings and models, ensuring alignment with the client’s standards and the unique requirements of the Australian building sector. This role requires a high level of technical skill, a deep understanding of the ArchiCAD platform, and the ability to meet industry-specific demands.

Job Responsibilities:
Develop comprehensive 2D and 3D models using ArchiCAD for various construction projects.
Produce detailed design documentation in alignment with Australian building codes and standards.
Collaborate with architects, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project deliverables meet client expectations.
Provide technical support and guidance to the client’s internal team regarding ArchiCAD best practices.
Maintain BIM standards, libraries, and templates within ArchiCAD.
Review and modify architectural designs to ensure accuracy and compliance with regulatory requirements.
Support the project team in solving design-related challenges through expert modeling and documentation techniques.
Coordinate with local contractors and external consultants to ensure a smooth design-to-construction workflow.

Education and Work Experience:
3+ years of experience working as an ArchiCAD Specialist or in a similar architectural design role.
Strong proficiency in ArchiCAD, with the ability to create complex architectural models and detailed documentation.
At least a year of experience working in or with Australian companies in the building and construction industry.
Familiarity with Australian building codes, regulations, and industry standards.
Solid understanding of BIM processes and how they integrate within ArchiCAD workflows.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in drafting and design work.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills, with experience in client-facing roles.
Ability to work independently while also being a proactive team player.
