About the Project
We are developing a low-budget Dutch language learning app with a focus on stimulating downloads, usage, and driving traffic to our website. The app is not currently designed to generate income but may include advanced, paid features in the future.

The app will feature 16–20 thematic modules per level, spanning three levels: beginner, intermediate, and advanced. Each theme introduces vocabulary, audio, and stories to reinforce learning. Additionally, the app will provide specialized modules for preparing for the official Dutch civic integration exam (Inburgeringsexamen).

Role Overview
We are seeking a versatile App Developer & Tester to bring this concept to life. The app should be simple, functional, and designed for scalability, with a focus on user engagement and usability. You will use no-code/low-code platforms or lightweight frameworks to build the app and test it for performance and compatibility.

Responsibilities

Development
Create the app using no-code/low-code platforms such as Glide, Adalo, or Thunkable, or frameworks like Flutter.
Implement the following core features:
Thematic Modules:
16–20 modules per level, covering topics like introductions, shopping, health, and travel.
Each module includes:
Vocabulary lists with audio playback.
Short stories using the vocabulary, followed by 5 comprehension questions.
A “Show English Translation” option for stories.

Exam Practice Modules:
Reading: Text-based exercises with multiple-choice questions.
Listening: Audio-based questions to improve comprehension.
Writing: Prompts with simple input functionality to practice written Dutch.
Set up a backend system using tools like Firebase or Airtable for user data storage and content management.

Testing
Conduct functional testing to ensure features work seamlessly.
Perform usability testing to confirm the app is intuitive for learners.
Test for cross-platform compatibility on Android and iOS devices.
Identify and fix bugs or performance issues during development.
Optimization

Focus on simplicity and usability to maximize downloads and user engagement.
Integrate lightweight analytics tools (e.g., Firebase Analytics) to monitor app usage and performance.
Technical Requirements

Must-Have Skills
Proficiency with no-code platforms (Glide, Adalo, Thunkable) or lightweight frameworks (Flutter, React Native).
Familiarity with backend tools like Firebase or Airtable for managing content and user data.
Strong knowledge of app testing methodologies.

Nice-to-Have Skills
Experience with language-learning apps or educational tools.
Basic understanding of Dutch or similar language-learning content.
Familiarity with open-source platforms like Quizlet for potential future interactivity.

Soft Skills
Attention to detail, with the ability to identify and solve technical challenges.

Development Workflow
Thematic Learning Modules:
